Swing Dance Moves

Now days, there are ample amounts of video footage on Youtube highlighting many renditions of classic lindy hop moves.

When I first started, the search for new moves was a complicated ordeal for a person who didn’t know the names of the lindy hop moves. Plus the names of certain swing moves varied based upon each communities story behind the move.

Our lindy hop technique has demystified the learning process so even children can understand, apply and grow as dancers.

All of the original lindy hop moves I’ve created have been based on a dance philosophy focused more on principles rather and rules. Check out related content and swing resources below.

The Beehive is an original lindy hop sequence I created in 2012 influenced by many of the West Coast Swing variations which highlight complex arm figures. The swing rhythm ultimately makes this sequence feel more “lindy hop.” If you are a follower and struggling you should check out our 4 part series designed to increase your lindy hop follower technique.

There are so many variations and creative possibilities within the lindy hop move called “Tandem Charleston.” The Ying Yang tandem Charleston move I created draws inspiration from the original tandem but bends the styling so the leader and follower finish back to back.
